Date format is a time representation that varies between countries.

What does the “Date Format” functionality do?

The “Date Format” functionality allows you to change the date format for your project.

How to change the date format?

The date format is based on what region you set on your machine. However, to the set of date formats retrieved for the current language, some other standard formats that do not change when region is changed, are added for an easier use. These standard formats are available on Windows, Mac and Web platforms.

If you are on Mac, to change the region, please go to System Preferences - Language & Region and select another region and language. Then, please restart your machine.

On our web application, the date format depends on the language set inside the application.

To change the date format, please go to menu File - Options and in the General Settings tab, select the desired Date Format.

What are the standard date formats available in the application?

The standard date formats that don't change when region is changed are:

How do I format the Start & Finish dates?

To change the date format, please go to menu File - Options and in General Settings tab select the desired date format.

How can I change the Date Format for Project Plan 365 for Web?

You can change the date format in our Web application but is dependent to app language: If the language is set to English you can choose from American date formats (where the month comes first). If the language is set to French, let’s say, you can choose between “European” date formats. There is also a list of standard date formats that don't depend on the language set inside the application. 

What is Regional settings?

Regional settings are the settings in an operating system that pertain to the user’s location, such as language, currency, and time zone.

Step by step on how to change the date format:

1. Go to File – Options and then click General Settings tab – Date Format.

2. Select the Date Format and click OK.

Note: If the date format you want does not appear in the list, you need to change the region on your machine. The date format is based on what region you set on your machine. To change the region, please go to System Preferences - Language & Region and select another region and language. Then, please restart your machine. However, the standard date formats can’t be removed from the list since they don’t depend on the region set on your machine.
