   Lab 8 - Entering Progress

 

        Using Project Plan 365 for PC/Server application, work on the project plan describing the construction of an office building, created during  Lab 7 - Track Construction Plan. This should cover entering progress in your project as your resources start to work on their assigned tasks. Perform in order the following steps:

  • Step 1: Indicate progress in your project by entering percent complete for tasks. (see Practice section from Enter Task Percent Complete topic)
  • Step 2: Analyze actual and remaining fields, computed based on the progress recorded on a task. (see Practice section from Actual and Remaining Fields topic)
  • Step 3: Find a desired information or go to a particular task from your project. (see Practice section from Go ToScroll To and Find Task topics)
  • Step 4: Add notes for tasks and resources. (see Practice section from Add Task Notes and Add Resource Notes topics)
  • Step 5: Apply zoom to a current view to view project information at the desired level of detail. (see Practice section from Zoom/Timescale topic)
  • Step 6: Have a look in the Assignment Information dialog, which shows you several useful information about an assignment in your schedule. (see Practice section from Assignment Information​ topic)

         At the end of these steps, you should obtain a project plan like    CommercialConstruction_lesson9.
