To use the Business subscription purchased from Microsoft Store on other platforms, follow the steps below:

  1. Downloadinstall and open our latest from Microsoft Store.
  2. Go to menu Help – Subscriptions.
  3. Click the Restore Business Subscription button and wait for the confirmation message.
  4. If you don’t have a Project Plan 365 account, Sign Up here.
  5. Sign In inside the application in order to copy the subscription information from Microsoft Store to your Project 365 account.
  6. To use the subscription on other device/platform, Download and install the latest app from our website and then Sign In with your email and password inside the application (look upper right corner for Sign In button).
How are the Actual Duration and Remaining Duration calculated?

If you type a value in the Percent Complete field, Project Plan 365 automatically calculates actual duration and remaining duration. In this case,

  • Actual Duration = Duration * Percent Complete
  • Remaining Duration = Duration – Actual Duration.

If you type a value in the Percent Complete field in a summary task, Project Plan 365 automatically distributes the Percent Complete for subtasks. The distribution tries to add Actual Duration equally for each subtask which is scheduled as working starting from the Project Start Date.

How to uninstall Project Plan 365?

To uninstall the Project Plan 365 application, follow the steps below:

  1. Windows: Open Start - Control Panel - Programs - Programs and Features. Right-click on Project Plan 365 and then click “Uninstall”.
  2. Mac: Select the app icon from the Applications folder, righ-click on it and from the contextual menu select “Move to Trash”;
  3. Android: Go to your device’s Settings menu - Apps or Application Manager, select Project Plan 365 and touch the “Uninstall” button.
  4. iOS: Hold down the app’s icon in Launchpad until the “Project Plan 365” icon starts to jiggle and then click the app’s delete button (x) to uninstall the app.

How can I cancel my trial on Project Plan 365?

There are three possibilities:

  1. If you started the trial period from our website and you didn’t cancel your Auto-Renewal, before your Standard/Business Trial expires you will be automatically charged. If you want to cancel the Auto-Renewal, please follow the steps from the Cancel Subscription Online Help Article.
  2. If you started the trial from App Store, please cancel your subscription to stop the automatic renewal: https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT202039
  3. To cancel your subscription from Microsoft Store please follow the instruction from Microsoft Store. We have no access to your account and cannot reach them on your behalf.

How do I Import the team members from my plan into organization?

You will be asked if you want to import Team Members in the following situations:

  1. You save a project in Drive 365 for the first time and you have Work Resources that are not Team Members.
  2. You save an existing project in Drive 365 and you have Work Resources that are not already Team Members.
  3. You share a project with people that are not already Team Members.

To import Team Members manually, go to the menu Team – Import Team. A dialog will appear that will contain all Work Resources in the current project that are not Team Members. Once you enter a valid email address for the resources that you want to import, click on the Add Team Members button. Now the imported resources become Team Members.

Will I be charged after the trial subscription expires?

How do I setup the real-time collaboration?

To set up any .MPP file for Real-Time Collaboration (rTc), follow this procedure:

  1. Sign In or Sign Up to the Business (PMO) Subscription using your email & password in Project Plan 365 app.
  2. Having the Editor role, open the MPP file that you want to collaborate on with others, and save it to Drive 365 cloud service.
  3. Check off the resources you want to include, and then click on the Add Team Members button.
  4. Open the project from Drive 365. By default, the .MPP file will open in Exclusive Mode, and in order to collaborate with other team members, go to menu Share – Real-Time Collaboration.
  5. Also, you can share the link from your plan with other team members, by using the Share functionality from the Share menu.

How does the Project Plan 365 Scheduling Engine work?

The Project Plan 365 Scheduling engine works as described below:

  1. First Step: Create a graph where nodes are tasks and edges are precedence relations between tasks and do a topological sort to get the order in which we should process the tasks so we calculate early start and early finish dates.
  2. Second Step: Create another graph for successors of tasks and calculate the late start and the late finish dates so we can calculate the real start and finish date of tasks and slack and we can obtain the project durationfinish date and critical path with better accuracy.
  3. Third Step: Compute other task fields like costwork and make sure that resource assignments are calculated correctly.

Can I share a project from the Drive 365?

There are three possibilities you can share your project with your team members or people outside the organization:

  1. By using the Share option from the Share - Share menu;
  2. By clicking on the Share Project button from the Share bar that appears after opening a file;
  3. By going to File menu – Open – My Projects - Drive 365  and in the file picker right-click on the project you want to share and choose Share option from the contextual menu.

Just type the E-mail address and a message, if you want, and click on one of the three options available in the Share Projects with the Team Members dialog: Copy Link, Send as PDF, Send as MPP.For more information, check the Share online help article.

How to add resources for tasks in the Gantt Chart view?

To add resources from the Gantt Chart table, in the Resource Name column, write or select the resource you want to add and set the units or the number of items.To assign resources to tasks in Gantt Chart view, you can import the existing team members from your organization or to add other resources.

  1. To assign an existing team member from your organization to a task, in the Gantt Chart view, click on the down arrow in Resource Names field and from the drop-down list, select a team member (marked with an icon).
  2. To add a resource that is not a team member, simply insert his name in Resource Names field.

Another way to assign a team member or a resource to a task, is to select a task and go to menu Team - Assign - Team Member / Resource.

Why I'm not able to delete a file from Drive 365?

Why was I charged 1$ when I started a free trial?

You may see a $1 pending charge on your bank statement when you start a Standard or Business Trial for Project Plan 365 as part of our card authorization process. This is a temporary authorization charge and it will disappear from your statement.Our payment processor may send a request to the issuing bank a $1 authorization to verify that the card is valid and the bank will allow it to be authorized.
How can I change the bar color for multiple individual tasks at the same time?

How can I purchase additional subscriptions?

Answer
In order to purchase more subscriptions, you need to Sign In in our Portal Page, go to the Account tab and click on the “Buy more subscriptions” button. Insert the Credit Card info and Billing info and click on the “Place order” button.
After that, the subscriptions can be assigned to the team members. For more information about how to assign the purchased subscriptions, you can check our Manage Team members online help article.
