How do I start a new project from Project Plan 365 Portal?

To start a new project from Project Plan 365 Portal using our application, go to our Online Portal, then Sign In with your email and password. If you don’t have an account, you can create one or you can Sign In with a third-party login. Go to Projects page and click on the Create new project button. A dialog will appear asking you to make sure you have the latest app version installed on your device by clicking the Download Project Plan 365 app.If you already have the latest version, click on the Create New Project button. The browser will request to allow Project Plan 365 Portal to open the app. Click Open Project Plan 365 and the application with a new project will open.Note: In the browser request, check the “Always allow www.projectplan365.com to open links of this type in the associated app” checkbox so the request won’t appear each time.

I have set the global settings, but when I create a blank project the settings are not applied.

For the settings to be applied when creating a blank project, go to File menu – Options and under General Options check the “Use global settings when creating a blank project” checkbox. 

Or, if you are using the Project Plan 365 for Mac application, you can create projects using the New blank project using Global Settings or New Blank Project Using Global Settings options from Home / New menu.

What can I set in Advanced tab from Options dialog?

In Advanced tab from Options dialog you can set View options for time units (minutes, hours, days, weeks, months, years),  Outline options (Intent name, Show outline number/symbol, Show summary tasks, Show project summary task) and General Options (Open last file on startup, Show Highlight, Recently used file list, Recently used folder list, Collaboration Timeout, Check Spelling).

How do I change the schedule mode for all the tasks in an existing project?

In order to set the start of the week to Monday, go to the File menu - Options, click on "Schedule" tab and from "Week Starts On" field select "Monday" and press "OK" for the changes to take effect.

Yes, you can save a template file to your local device. Go to FileNew, choose a template and click Create button. The template will open and then you can go to File menu – Save AsComputer and choose a location from your device where the template will be saved.
How do I change the start date for a template?

To change the start date for a template, go to File menu – New, search and select the right template. Before clicking Create button in order to create the template, you have the option to change the Start Date directly from the template dialog. The default Start Date for a template is the current working day.
What does “Suggested Search” mean?

The Suggested Search refers to the keywords suggested for you that are located under the search bar. Each keyword represents an industry for which you may search project plans templates.
How do I search for a template inside the application?

To search for a template inside the application, go to File menu – New, type the right keyword in the search bar and click the Search icon or Enter key.
Can I import specific team members in my project plan created based on a template?

You can select and import the team members you want in the project created based on a template by checking the Import team members checkbox right before clicking Create button in template dialog.
Are the Global Settings applied when creating a project plan based on a template?

How do I set custom schedule for a team member?

To add set Custom schedule for a team member, go to Team menu – Manage Team, select a team member and click Open Team Member Information.  In Team Member Information dialog, choose Custom for the Schedule field. The Set Custom Schedule dialog will be displayed, where you can set the working hours per day. Click OK in both dialogs to save the changes. Note that you must have Admin rights to perform this operation.

To add Time Off for a team member, go to Team menu – Manage Team, select a team member and click Open Team Member Information.  In Team Member Information dialog, in the Time Off section, add the Name, Start Date and Finish date for the Time Off and press “OK”. Note that you must have Admin rights to perform this operation.
