In order to keep being logged in to Dropbox cloud in Project Plan 365, please make sure you are always logged in Dropbox in your default browser (check the “Remember me” checkbox when Signing In).
Our app will only ask you permission to access the files, but if you are always logged in the default browser, the cloud will automatically open after confirming permission, without requesting credentials.

To enable field protection, go to ribbon – Project tab – Protect Plan and click the Allow Edit Fields button. A dialog will be displayed where you can specify the fields that will be unlocked by a password when project is protected. You may also specify who can edit the fields without a password. The permissions can be set only for team members with an Editor role.
Note that this functionality is only for Business subscription.
You can also enable field protection from the Options dialog by going to File menu – Options – Protect Plan tab and clicking on the Allow Edit Fields button.

To access a project plan from Google Drive, click File - Open - Google Drive. A message will appear that says to Sign In with your Google account in the web page you are redirected to. After that, select an account or type your credentials. Go back to the application.
There are several ways to open a project from the file picker:
- Double click on a project;
- Select a project and click Open button;
- Right-click on a project and select Open in contextual menu;
- Select a project and click Enter key.

To unprotect the project, go to ribbon – “Project” tab – “Protect Plan” and click the “Unprotect Editing” button. If you have given permission to unprotect the project without a password, a confirmation dialog will be displayed to unprotect the project. If you were not given permission to unprotect the project without a password, a dialog where a password is required will be displayed.
You can also unprotect the project from the Options dialog by going to File menu – Options – “Protect Plan” tab and clicking on the “Unprotect Editing” button.

After saving your first file to My Projects – Drive 365 you can open it using the File - Open - My Projects – Drive 365 menu option, or you can access it from your Recent Projects list. In the Open from Drive 365 dialog there are several ways to open a file:
- Double click on a project;
- Select a project and click Open button;
- Right-click on a project and select Open in contextual menu;
- Select a project and click Enter key.
The My Projects – Drive365 dialog can be also accessed from File menu – Home tab – Projects button.

Here are the steps to open and save a project called sample.mpp from your organization’s sharepoint:
- Go to menu File-Open and click SharePoint.
- Select SharePoint Site.
- Enter url for site. Is should be {sharepoint_url}/sites/{team_name}
- Enter your credentials.
- Navigate in Documents\General.
- Select the project.
After that, the project can be saved from menu File – Save or command + s shortcut. If you need to save a new project, you need to go to menu File – Save As – SharePoint – SharePoint Site, navigate in Documents\General, enter project name and press Save.

To open a project from Project Server, go to File menu - Open - Project Server/Online - Open from Project Server. Enter Server URL then enter windows credentials like domain\Username and password. If you are authenticated inserting your username and password won’t be necessary. To give permission to team members to unprotect the project without a password, follow the steps below:
- Go to ribbon - Project tab – Protect Plan and click the Protect Editing button.
- In the Protect Editing dialog click on the Permissions… button
- In the displayed dialog click the Add button.
- Select the team members that will be able to unprotect the project without a password and click the OK button.
- Click the OK button in Permissions dialog and in the Protect Editing dialog.
- Confirm the password and click OK.
You can also give permission to unprotect the project without a password from the Options dialog by going to File menu – Options – Protect Plan tab and following the steps described above.

If you don’t see Project Plan 365 folder in On my [Device] section, it means that you have no projects saved in Project Plan 365.Use these steps to view projects created with Project Plan 356 in Files app:
- Open Project Plan 365.
- Create a new file or open an existing one from a cloud location.
- Make the desired changes to the project, if needed.
- Go to File - Save as - Device, enter a name for your file and press Save.
- Open Files app. Now, in “On my [device]” section you should see a folder called Project Plan 365 and inside this folder the file you just saved.

To open project plans from SharePoint, please follow the steps below:
- First, enter the URL address of the SharePoint site in File - Open – SharePoint – SharePoint Settings - OK.
- Go to File - Open SharePoint – Open from SharePoint - SharePoint Site - click OK or edit the link as desired.
- Type the user and password in the log window.
- A list of projects available on SharePoint will be displayed, from where you can choose the project you want to access.
