How do I see a planned cost vs actual cost?

Answer
After you finished your plan, set a baseline by going to menu Project – Set Baseline. After you make some changes to a task, if you want to see the actual cost, insert the Cost column in Gantt Chart view. The Planned Cost can be viewed in Baseline Cost field.
How do I create a custom calendar?

To create a new custom calendar, click Project, then click Change Working Time. In the opened Change Working Time dialog, click on Create New Calendar. In the opened dialog, in the Name box, type a name for your new calendar. To create a new base calendar based on an existing calendar, select Make a copy of, and then choose the calendar name in the calendar drop-down list. Then click OK to create the new base calendar.
After I applied time-off for a resource, the start and finish dates for tasks didn’t change.

In order to recalculate the changes made on the resource calendar, set the Task Type to Fixed Units.
When to apply a deadline?

Apply a deadline to a task when you want to track a deadline for a specific task, but don't want to lock your schedule by setting an inflexible constraint such as Must Finish On or Finish No Later Than. Such constraints affect scheduling, while the Deadline field simply causes an indicator to show if a task has not been completed by its deadline. Certain tasks in your project should finish by specific target dates. However, you don't want these dates to actually affect how Project Plan 365 schedules the tasks; you just want to be alerted if the tasks are not completed by these dates. Add the Deadline field to the Entry table of the Gantt Chart view, and set the deadline dates for these tasks.

By setting a task deadline, instead of imposing an inflexible constraint for a task to mark its finish date, you can achieve a more flexible and dynamic project schedule. A dynamic schedule is properly sequenced and is free of any task constraints. The benefit is that the project manager can assess changes to the project end date (via the critical path) without experiencing constraint errors.

Deadlines can be added to any task in the project schedule. You may want to add specific deadlines based on the tasks on the critical path or on important milestones. The deadline gives you flexibility in setting a commitment date that isn’t tied directly to a baseline finish date.

When I add the created material resource to a task, the work is directly changing to 0 hours. Why is this happening?

To see the delayed tasks in your project you can generate a report by going to menu Report – Overview-Late Tasks.
I cannot find a way to print or export to PDF in web application. Is this available?

To print/export to PDF your plan, go to menu File-Print-Page Setup and make the desired changes. You can see the changes in Print Preview dialog.After this go to menu File-Print-Print and click Ok and download the PDF file on your device.
Can I have a resource assigned to the task and the resource availability would drive the calculation of the finish date?

You need to make the changes on the resource calendar. Then, you need to set the task type to Fixed Units or Fixed Work depending on your needs. The app will automatically calculate the duration of your task based on the resource calendar.
